How is TESA/PESA Done?

Hormonal profile, scrotal ultrasound, and semen analysis are reviewed.

Procedure

PESA: A fine needle is inserted into the epididymis to aspirate fluid containing sperm.
TESA: A needle or biopsy instrument is used to extract tissue from the testicle where sperm are separated in the lab.

Sperm Evaluation & Freezing

Retrieved sperm are checked under a microscope by our embryologists.
If sufficient, they are used fresh or frozen for future ICSI-IVF.
